Farenas, Penalosa Jr. to fight on Pacquiao-Marquez IV undercard

MANILA, Philippines – Filipino boxers Michael Farenas and Dodie Boy Penalosa Jr. will appear on the undercard of Manny Pacquiao’s fourth fight with Juan Manuel Marquez, which takes place Dec. 8 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, according to their promoter, Gerry Penalosa. Their opponents have yet to be determined, but Farenas (34-3-4, 26 knockouts) will fight a ten-round contest, while Penalosa (9-0, 9 KOs) will fight an eight-round bout.

NEW YORK (AFP) – Facebook said Thursday it now has more than a billion users, giving the world’s biggest social network a major milestone despite a disastrous stock market introduction. Co-founder and chief executive Mark Zuckerberg made the announcement, saying the number is “humbling. This morning, there are more than one billion people using Facebook actively each month,” he said in a statement. “If you’re reading this: thank you for giving me and my little team the honour of serving you. Helping a billion people connect is amazing, humbling and by far the thing I am most proud of in my life.” Interviewed on the NBC Today show, he called the number a major achievement.
